Four food-groups Breakfast

  • Toasted whole wheat English muffin (2) or bagel (1-3 points)
  • One wedge laughing Cow cheese (1)
  • 2 slices Canadian Bacon (1)

  1. I’ve done this with any variety of bread– toasted or not.

The trick is to know accurate points as you increase amounts. 2 slices of “1point” bread can be 2 (Oroweat’s Double-Fiber bread), 3 (Oroweat’s Sandwich Thins) or 4 (Oroweat’s Double Fiber English Muffin).

It bugs me, but it seems to be sound despite that, so I always check points for double servings before I get excited about 0- or 1-point foods.

Also: I’ve found a Canadian bacon (at Sams) that is 1 point for 2oz. And they’re thin-sliced, so I get 4 slices for one point.

Point: it’s worth looking around and comparing labels.
