A very satisfying chocolate dessert, and generous portions. The ~15-ounce homemade version is even 1-point cheaper than the 12-ounce size from Wendy’s.

Blend together:
- ¾ cup cold water
- ¾ cup powdered milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking cocoa
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon corn oil
- 5 second spray of cooking oil (for the soy lecithin)
Add:
- 2-4 cups ice cubes (to taste)
Run till the ice is shredded and the texture is familiar.
Notes:
- My blender greatly prefers this half-batch method, so even when I’m making extra I still make it in these proportions.
- This recipe makes between 3 and 4 cups, depending on the volume of ice, and is best when consumed in one sitting.
- I recomend making it when you have someone to share with, which will preclude over-indulging by default.
- These ingredients in these amounts add up to a total of 12 points. I will sometimes add more ice for a larger volume to go with a movie or a hot day. (Naturally, ice and water do not change Points/caloric content.)
- Of course this means a less-intense flavor, so you’ll have to choose your own trading point.
- Generally I divide this between me and the DH (dear husband) for 6 points or (rarely) by thirds for a generous 4-point dessert.
Sounds good.
